Ageing Right Care(fully)

A TRANSNATIONAL STUDY OF AGEING IN PLACE AND HOSPITAL CARE AT HOME

Ageing Right Care(fully) (ARC) is a transdisciplinary, transnational research project which explores and maps an understanding of the care pathways between ageing in place and hospitalization of older adults. Using a system approach, the project aims to (re)design at-home hospital care models which are responsive to the future needs of older adult populations. Special attention is paid on how to create supportive environments (built, social, technical) for receiving (hybrid) care at home.

The ARC project is executed in three regions, with the goal to learn from each other: the Netherlands (Western Europe), Sweden (Scandinavia), and Israel (Middle East). These countries form an interesting case for comparison due to their growing ageing populations, yet distinct healthcare systems and reforms in older adult care. By combining multi-level knowledge, the results from the ARC project will inform the future of at-home hospital care for older adults. The co-produced knowledge will be shared with end-users, including citizens, carers, patients, healthcare policymakers, planners, architects and designers, through social media, publications, workshops and international conferences.  >> Read more about ARC
